Our Mission

     Harris Electric Company was established  in 1983 and was incorporated by the State of Mississippi in December 1995. Harris Electric Company is a graduate of SBA's 8(a) program approved for performing under the primary SIC Code 1731 electrical work and secondary code of 1542 General Contractor, 7349 Janitorial Services, 1611 Highway & Street Construction, 1622 Bridge, Tunnel, and Elevated Highways Construction, 1623 Water, Sewer and Communication and Power Line Construction, and 1471 Masonry, Brick & Stone. The Small Business Administration has certified Harris Electric as being a small business, small disadvantaged business and HubZone certified.

     Harris Electric Company has been approved by the State of Mississippi (Certificate of Responsibility) for electrical work, masonry, brick and stone, highway, street, and bridge construction and municipal and public works construction.

     The Company has secured and successfully completed contracts with Tennessee Valley Authority, performing new construction and renovation of buildings. Our expertise in the field of electrical work has allowed the company to successfully secure major contracts with Stennis Space Center, General Services Administration, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, Weyerhaeusar Company Columbus Pulp and Paper Complex, Advanced Solid Rocket Motor Construction Project, Mississippi State University, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, Mississippi State Highway Department, U.S. Postal Service, Johnson Controls and Nissan North America Plant. Harris Electric Company, Inc. graduated from the Small Business Administration's Section 8(a) program, September 1997.
